Land Mass

When I walk through the countryside, I’m aware that the land is not empty space between houses — it is the thing itself. The hedgerows, the folded fields, the rise and dip of pasture and plough. The quiet architecture of drystone walls and tractor lines. Land Mass is a collection that looks not at the buildings we place upon the earth, but at the body of the earth itself. These drawings explore contour, cultivation, and the human impulse to mark, divide and tend the land, knowing that long after our fences shift and ownership changes, the underlying feral form remains.
